Decatur Georgia Maternity Photographer- Mariah and Terrelle’s Outdoor Water Session

Mariah and Terrelle are pregnant with TWINS! You know by now that doing twin sessions are always some of my favorite. They found me through Google and were inspired by my outdoor Bohemian water sessions. Mariah also found some inspiration photos on my website and immediately caught a vision for what she and Terrelle wanted. They live pretty far away, but they wanted that North Georgia feel, and I always aim to please.

I took them to one of my favorite spots that showcases the river, Edge of the World in Dawsonville, Georgia. It was overcast, but thankfully it wasn’t too cold, and the rain held off. Mariah started off our session in a gorgeous deep teal dress that has the right amount of Bohemian vibe and drama. We started with pictures of this gorgeous mama to be next to the river and some of her and Terrelle together. Then we moved over to a spot with a fallen log in front of the bridge for some close-ups as well as some more far off pictures. I love how much variety you can find in one location and even in different sessions at the same location.

Using my portable changing room, Mariah changed into a Bohemian lace dress that is always a favorite. This dress was particularly inspirational for Mariah and she looked beautiful in it. We grabbed a few photos on the trail in the woods next to a beautiful bent tree. Then we moved over to a whimsical tree that looks like a portal to a fairy world or something equally magical. We moved back to the river at this point and grabbed a few more photos on some rocks with the river in the background, including some very playful ones of the two of them.

Then it was time for Mariah’s true dream. She had seen several pictures on my website of mamas in the river and she wanted to create that for herself. She loves being in and around the water in any form, so even though it was February, she was excited to get in the water for that perfect picture! We were able to capture so many different options for her to love and it was so exciting to see someone inspired and then helping to create that vision for themselves.

Mariah and Terrelle purchased a large 24x36 canvas for their home and a 8x8 heirloom album. The canvas was Mariah’s inspiration water picture and they will be placing it in their nursery for their sweet baby GIRLS!
